A Path to Independence
On October 8, 2008, Medina Creative Housing broke ground on “Medina Creative Living", a sixteen unit garden style apartment complex which will provide 20 anxiously awaiting individuals with fully accessible, subsidized housing. Future Medina Creative Living residents performed the groundbreaking honors and braved wind, rain and mud to shovel and place their mark in what will be the site of their new home in a few short months.

Their excitement was contagious to all in attendance. Medina Creative Housing is pleased to be able to offer new housing opportunities made possible through financing from HUD, The Federal Home Loan Bank, Finance Fund and Westfield Bank. The future has never looked brighter!

All Medina Creative Living apartment units have a host of conveniences that make everyday living rewarding for individuals with disabilities. Low counters, no thresholds, washer and dryers and accessible bathrooms are but a few of the conveniences that are incorporated into each unit.

Everyday conveniences like transportation, grocery stores and shops that are easily accessible and recreational destinations like the movie theater make this an ideal home for all of the people that we serve now and will serve in the future. Additionally, each unit is subsidized so that individuals with disabilities who are on very low incomes pay 30% of their income which includes utilities.
